How we review lenders
Short answer: We profile lenders in CLO's partner network, starting with the 9 that returned offers in one example application using each lender's own published terms, checked against reputable reviews. Every figure shows a "last verified" date and is rechecked at least every 90 days. Lenders can't pay to change what a profile says.
| Question | Our answer |
|---|---|
| What we check | APR range, loan amounts, terms, origination fees, late fees, funding time, credit requirements and state availability |
| Where it comes from | Each lender's website and disclosures first, then 2026 reviews from major finance publishers when the lender doesn't publish a figure |
| How often | At least every 90 days, and whenever a lender changes its terms |
| When sources disagree | We publish the lender's own figure, or leave the figure off and say so on the profile |
| Who we cover | Lenders in our partner network only, not the whole market |
| Can lenders pay for placement? | No. Payment never changes a profile's content. See how we make money |
| Ratings | We don't publish star ratings, because we don't have independent review data |
| Errors | Email support@compareloanoffer.com. We recheck within 5 business days |
