How it works

Pre-qualify once. Compare multiple lenders. Pick your loan.

  1. Check your rate

Complete one short application. We use a soft credit pull, so your score isn't affected.

  2. Compare your offers

We email you a link to your pre-qualified offers. Tap Review Offers to see them, sorted by APR or loan length. Some lenders may email you directly too. Then use our comparison tool to compare monthly payment, fees, cash you receive and total cost.

  3. Pick and get funded

Choose a lender and complete its application. Final approval typically takes 1 to 3 business days, then funds arrive within 24 to 48 business hours. See the full timeline.

Pre-qualified offers are estimates, not final approvals. The lender will verify your information, may run a hard credit check, and can change the terms or decline the application.

Compare Loan Offer for ChatGPT is coming soon

The app is in review. When it launches, ask it to plan a loan, rank the offers you've received by lowest total cost, or do the payment math.

  • "I need $15,000 for a new roof and my credit is good. What should I compare?"
  • "Which of these loan offers has the lowest total cost if I can pay $600 a month?"
  • "What would $20,000 at 13% APR for 60 months cost me?"
What you compare

Five numbers decide which loan is cheapest

The lowest rate isn't always the cheapest loan. Look at all of these before you choose.

APR
Annual percentage rate

Interest plus required fees, as a yearly rate. The best single number for comparing total cost.

MONTHLY
Monthly payment

What leaves your account each month. Check that it fits your budget before you compare anything else.

TERM
Loan term

How many months you'll pay. Longer terms lower the payment but usually raise the total interest.

FEE
Origination fee

A one-time fee some lenders take out of the loan amount. A 5% fee on $10,000 means you receive $9,500.

FUNDING
Time to fund

How soon the money reaches your bank after final approval. Matters most when a bill is due.

TOTAL
Total cost of the loan

Every payment added up. Compare two offers in the calculator.

Straight answers

How we make money, and what we don't do

Trust matters more than anything else on a loan site, so here it is plainly. Read how we make money and how we compare offers.

  • We're a comparison service, not a lender. Lenders set rates and make every approval decision.
  • We may be paid by our lending partners when you're matched or take a loan. Lenders set your rate; compensation can affect which offers are recommended first.
  • The offers you see come from lenders in our partner network, not every lender in the market.
  • We count lenders and offers separately. In one real application, 9 lenders returned at least 162 offers, most of them term and amount variations.

What if I don't get an offer?

Not everyone receives a pre-qualified offer. It depends on the participating lenders and your financial profile. If you don't get one, no one will contact you to sell you something else. What you can do: check that your income and details were entered correctly, review your free credit reports at AnnualCreditReport.com for errors, try again later if your income, debts or credit change, and avoid applying with many lenders directly, since each full application may mean a hard inquiry.

Does checking my rate affect my credit score?

No. Checking your rate with Compare Loan Offer uses a soft credit pull, which doesn't affect your credit score. A hard inquiry happens only if you choose an offer and continue with that lender.

Does CLO see my personal information?

No. Compare Loan Offer never receives your loan application data, such as your name, Social Security number, date of birth, income or bank details. That information goes only to the secure application powered by Flexxbuy LLC and the lenders you choose.

Should I use a CLO personal loan or store financing?

With a CLO personal loan, you get funded directly and use the funds as needed, with a fixed APR and fixed payments. If you're buying from one store, ask about its financing too, check whether a promotional offer is true 0% APR or deferred interest, and compare its total cost with your CLO offers. Buying from one store? Ask for its APR, term and whether interest is deferred, then compare the total cost with your CLO offers.

What is Compare Loan Offer (CLO)?

Compare Loan Offer (CLO), at compareloanoffer.com, is an AI agent that helps you find and compare loan offers in one place. You fill out one application and see pre-qualified offers from multiple lenders, including APR, monthly payment, term and loan amount. Compare Loan Offer is not a lender and does not make credit decisions.

Can I use a personal loan for home improvements?

Yes. Home improvement is one of the most common uses for a personal loan. You don't need home equity or an appraisal, and your home isn't used as collateral.

How much can I borrow?

You can request $1,000 to $50,000. Each lender decides the approved amount based on your income, credit and existing debt, and limits may vary by state.

Does it cost anything to compare offers?

No. Checking your rate is free and there's no obligation. We may be paid by partners when you are matched with or take a loan. Lenders set the rate you are offered.

What credit score do I need for a personal loan?

Requirements vary by lender. Many lenders work with good credit and above, and some approve fair credit. Pre-qualifying shows which lenders will work with you without affecting your score.

How fast can I get the money?

After you choose an offer and the lender receives your completed application and documents, final approval typically takes 1 to 3 business days with good to excellent credit, or up to 5 to 7 business days for higher-risk applicants. Once approved, most lenders send the money directly to your bank account within 24 to 48 business hours.
